Dear Friends,

Please help us in recruiting vocations to the diocesan priesthood and to our seminary, San Jose. Please find below relevant information:

I. COLLEGE: A four-year college program for highschool graduates. College seminarians study philosophy at the Ateneo de Manila University and live in San Jose Seminary for their spiritual, psychological, communal and apostolic formation.

II. SPECIAL PHILOSOPHY: A two-year graduate program in philosophy and a kind of "introduction" to seminary formation for those who have already finished a college degree outside and/or who are already working. After special philosophy, the seminarian will hopefully be ready for theology proper.

III. THEOLOGY: A five-year graduate program in theology for graduates of a college seminary or special philosophy. Seminarians in theology will earn a Bachelor's Degree in Sacred Theology and a Masters Degree in Theological Studies or Pastoral Ministry upon gradution. There will be a non-academic year after 2nd year theology called the Spiritual Pastoral Formation Year where the seminarian is formed intensively in his knowledge of himself and of God. Theology is the final stage of formation before ordination to the diaconate and priesthood.

IV. ADMISSION PROCESS: There will be three stages in the admission process. Stage 1: IQ Test. Stage 2: Psychological Tests. Stage 3: Interviews. Applicants to the College Seminary should first take and pass the Ateneo College Entrace Test (ACET) before going through San Jose's Admission Process.
